11 Days Glimpse of South America

1. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Upon arrival in Rio de Janeiro, transfer to the hotel.

2. Rio de Janeiro

Tour begins with a panoramic view through downtown Rio, passing by the Sambodrome, Metropolitan Cathedral, Cinelandia square, the Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts. By taking the Aterro do Flamengo, you will be taken to the neighborhood of Urca where one of the largest symbols of the city is located: the Sugar Loaf. The visit to the top is made in two steps by a cable car. In the evening enjoy Plataforma show with dinner. (B/D).

3. Rio de Janeiro

Enjoy an amazing tour to Corcovado Mountain where you can see the Statue of Christ the Redeemer and admire some marvelous views of the city. (B)

4. Rio de Janeiro > Iguassu

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguassu (FLIGHT NOT INCLUDED). On arrival visit Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls and enjoy an exciting visit to the Bird’s Park. Then enjoy an evening full extent of Tri-national cultural diversity performance and savor a BBQ dinner. (B/D)

5. Iguassu > Lima, Peru

Today you will visit the Argentinean side of Iguassu Falls. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima, Peru (FLIGHT NOT INCLUDED). Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check in and accommodation. (B)

6. Lima

Visit the colonial and modern Lima to see the largest Gold collection in Peru housed at the residence of Miguel Gallo, the person behind this amazing collection. Starting in the center of Lima, this short tour will take you through the bohemian district of Barranco, the Government Palace, San Isidro District, Las Nazarenas Church, Pilatos House then proceed to the Pacific Ocean Viewpoint. 7. Lima > Cuzco

Early morning transfer from hotel to airport for your flight to Cuzco (FLIGHT NOT INCLUDED). On arrival in Cuzco, city tour of Cuzco. Visit the Qorikancha or Sun Temple, Santo Domingo Church, Sacsayhuaman Fortress, Puca-Pucara, and finally Tambomachay with their water fountains. (B)

8. Cuzco – Machu Picchu – Cuzco

Take the morning train for a full day tour of Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas”, being one of the most renowned examples of Inca architecture. Surrounded by lush cloud forest, the citadel is perched on a mist-shrouded mountaintop. (B)

9. Cuzco > Buenos Aires, Argentina

Early breakfast then prepare to transfer to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina (FLIGHT NOT INCLUDED). Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. (B)

10. Buenos Aires

Full day excursion across the pampas to a typical estancia (Argentine ranch) where you will experience local ranch life and enjoy an Argentine-style barbecue meal. (B)

11. Buenos Aires > Home

Today you will visit Avenida 9 de Julio, Teatro de Colon, Plaza San Martin, the May Square, the northern Recoleta district, Palermo Park, and San Telmo. In the evening, transfer to the airport for your flight back home as your trip comes to an end. (B)
