Day 1

Arrive in Toronto, Canada's largest city, for the start of our longest and fullest itinerary — thirteen days from Niagara Falls to Prince Edward Island. Spend the evening at your own pace before the journey east begins.

Day 2

Toronto → Niagara Falls

Spend the day at Niagara Falls, one of the world's most famous natural wonders, with time at the falls themselves and a stop in nearby Niagara-on-the-Lake's wine country before the night in Niagara.

Kingston, ON

Day 3

Niagara Falls → Kingston → Thousand Islands

Travel east to Kingston, then cruise the Thousand Islands from nearby Gananoque, weaving between hundreds of granite islands scattered across the St. Lawrence River.

Parliament Hill, Ottawa, ON

Day 4

Kingston → Ottawa

Continue to Ottawa, Canada's capital. Walk Parliament Hill and the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, before an evening at the ByWard Market.

Old Montreal, QC

Day 5

Ottawa → Montreal

Travel on to Montreal, walking the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal and stepping inside the Notre-Dame Basilica to admire its blue-and-gold vaulted ceiling before the evening at leisure.

Day 6

Montreal → Quebec City

Continue east to Quebec City, the only fortified city north of Mexico, stopping at Montmorency Falls, a waterfall taller than Niagara, on the way into town for an evening walk through Old Quebec's lantern-lit streets.

Halifax, NS

Day 7

Quebec City → fly to Halifax

Explore Old Quebec's fortified walls and the Chateau Frontenac in the morning, then take a short connecting flight from Quebec City to Halifax, Nova Scotia — swapping St. Lawrence River scenery for the Atlantic coast without days of extra driving in between.

Peggy's Cove, NS

Day 8

Halifax → Peggy's Cove

Explore Halifax's waterfront and the Halifax Citadel, a star-shaped fortress overlooking the harbour, then drive out to Peggy's Cove, one of the most photographed fishing villages in Canada, its lighthouse perched on wave-smoothed granite.

Day 9

Halifax → Lunenburg → Mahone Bay

Travel down Nova Scotia's South Shore to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its brightly painted 18th-century waterfront, then continue to Mahone Bay, famous for its three waterfront churches reflected in the harbour.

Cabot Trail (Cape Breton Highlands NP), NS

Day 10

→ Cabot Trail, Cape Breton

Drive north to Cape Breton Island and onto the Cabot Trail, one of the most scenic coastal drives in the world, winding along the cliffs of Cape Breton Highlands National Park with the Gulf of St. Lawrence far below.

Charlottetown, PE

Day 11

Cabot Trail → Baddeck → toward Prince Edward Island

Stop in Baddeck, the small lakeside village where Alexander Graham Bell spent his summers, before starting the journey toward Prince Edward Island, crossing back onto the Nova Scotia mainland en route.

Hopewell Rocks, NB

Day 12

Prince Edward Island: Charlottetown & Cavendish

Cross the Confederation Bridge onto Prince Edward Island. Spend the day in Charlottetown, the birthplace of Canadian Confederation, and Cavendish, whose red-sand dunes and green gables inspired Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables.

Halifax Waterfront, NS

Day 13

Hopewell Rocks → Halifax departure

Cross into New Brunswick to see the Hopewell Rocks, flowerpot-shaped formations carved by the Bay of Fundy's tides, the highest in the world, timed to whichever tide gives the better view. Continue to Halifax for your departure, closing out a thirteen-day journey across nearly the entire eastern half of the country.

This tour starts in Toronto and ends in Halifax, with one internal flight on Day 7 — please book open-jaw flights (into Toronto, out of Halifax) and share your full itinerary at least 5 days before departure so we can confirm pickup and the connecting flight booking.
