Toronto → Muskoka Lakes

Your getaway begins with a drive north from Toronto into Muskoka, the lake-studded region often called the Hamptons of the North for its long history as a cottage retreat for city dwellers. Arriving in Gravenhurst, gateway to the Muskoka Lakes, you'll have a free afternoon along Lake Muskoka's shoreline, dotted with boathouses and granite outcrops typical of the Canadian Shield. Weather and season permitting, a ride aboard the RMS Segwun, one of the oldest operating steamships in North America, is available as an optional add-on for a classic Muskoka experience.

Day 2

Algonquin Provincial Park → Toronto

Your second morning is spent in Algonquin Provincial Park, one of Canada's oldest and most iconic protected wilderness areas, established in 1893 and famous for inspiring the Group of Seven painters. A walk near the Visitor Centre offers views over the park's rugged mixed forest and rocky ridges, with canoe rentals available on nearby lakes, weather permitting, for a taste of the park's legendary paddling routes. After breakfast and this immersion in Ontario's backcountry, your coach begins the return drive south to Toronto.
