The day's centrepiece is a visit to two or three family-run wineries along the scenic Niagara Parkway, where you'll sample a flight of the region's signature wines, from crisp Rieslings to the prized icewine Niagara is famous for worldwide. Knowledgeable hosts walk you through each pour, explaining how the peninsula's limestone soils and lake-moderated climate produce grapes found almost nowhere else in Canada.
