Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Vancouver

Arrive in Vancouver, a glittering harbour city wrapped around forested peaks and the Pacific shoreline. Spend your first day getting oriented with an easy walk through Gastown, where restored Victorian-era buildings, cobblestone streets, and the famous steam clock recall the city's gold-rush origins. Later, wander Granville Island's bustling public market, packed with fresh produce, seafood, and local artisans, before choosing from the waterfront's many restaurants for a relaxed first evening in British Columbia.

Day 2

Vancouver → Victoria

Board a scenic ferry across the Strait of Georgia to Vancouver Island, watching for eagles and the occasional pod of orcas along the way. On arrival, visit the world-renowned Butchart Gardens, over 55 acres of sunken gardens, rose walks, and Japanese and Italian garden rooms that have bloomed here since 1904. Finish the day in Victoria's picturesque Inner Harbour, ringed by the ivy-covered Fairmont Empress and the domed BC Legislature buildings glowing at dusk.
