Each tour page shows its exact Start City. Banff and Lake Louise anchor the classic first visit, with the turquoise water of Lake Louise and the Banff townsite an easy day trip apart. North along the Icefields Parkway, the Columbia Icefield and the peaks above Jasper make for one of the most scenic multi-day drives anywhere, glaciers and waterfalls the whole way. East of the mountains, the Drumheller badlands and the Royal Tyrrell Museum show a completely different side of the province — red-rock canyons and one of the world's leading dinosaur fossil collections, all within a single afternoon. And when winter sets in, door-to-slope transfers put Sunshine Village, Lake Louise Ski Resort, and Nakiska within reach without anyone having to drive mountain roads in the snow themselves.
